"The Lady Altar in the chapel/school decorated for a May festival in the late 1920s."
The altar was later moved to the left to allow a door to be made giving the priest direct access to the rear of the confessional.
The connecting door in the partition was then blocked off. The statue on the altar was later replaced by a new one,
and the old one shown here was put in the school corridor on the ground floor.
 

Fr William Lowery, Curate in St Joseph's, Tollcross 1929 - 1950. He moved to St Catherine Labouré and died in 1954.
