Completed in June 1949 at Hillside Works, Dunedin, withdrawn in November 1971.
Based at the Glenbrook Vintage Railway since preservation, passed for main-line operation.

Hauled a special excursion for the Railway Enthusiasts Society, the “Sunset Coast Express”, from Auckland to Glenbrook to mark the opening of the track extension to Fernleigh. She then took GVR stock between Glenbrook and Fernleigh before returning to Auckland.

Honda ran an "advertising special" from Wellington to Auckland, variously hauled by diesel, electric and steam locomotives. There are some cars in there but I was only interested in the motive power when it arrived in Auckland.

Te Kuiti Centennial Steam Express — Saturday, 5 December 1987
An excursion from Auckland to Te Kuiti to mark the completion of the North Island Main Trunk railway. It ran on Saturday and Sunday. I travelled on Saturday and chased it on Sunday.
