Congratulations to all the finalists of
the World Procurement Awards 2017.
This year, our global judging
panel of 27 procurement leaders
joined forces in the US, EMEA and
APAC regions to evaluate hundreds
of inspiring entries and to debate
which should be awarded for their
exceptional achievements.
It was exciting for me as the
Global Chair of Judges to see how
fierce the competition was across
all 15 categories. Year on year, there
were more examples of procurement
teams executing creative and
imaginative ideas to drive results;
more evidence of the growing
confidence in our capabilities
to propel change and influence
business strategy.
Within the most successful entries a
few themes emerged – clear alignment
with business goals, collaborative
relationships with suppliers and
stakeholders and tangible value created.
I would like to congratulate you all for
championing change and continuing
to progress the procurement function’s
critical business remit.
Additionally, I would like to express
my personal gratitude to our panel of
judges. I know many late hours were
put into developing our shortlist. Your
time and experience is invaluable to
the integrity of the selection process,
and very much appreciated.
I wish all the finalists the very best
of luck within their categories and I
look forward to seeing you on 17 May
to celebrate!
