Film 4 24 exposure 110 film.
Since I didn't like getting my nice SLR wet, on Saturday, April 25, 1981, I bought a Minolta Weathermatic for use in the hills. Unfortunately, it takes 110 cassette film which gives very small negatives (approx 0.65 x 0.5 inches) which are physically awkward to scan and even more awkward to control exposure and colour balance.

On Friday, May 1, Richard and I drove into Glen Etive in the late afternoon and set up a high camp, probably just over the watershed from the Allt Ceitlein (188478). The following morning, I think we went up Stob Ghabhar intending to go on to Clach Leathad but beat a hasty retreat in the face of sleet. We abandoned plans to stay for Stob Coir' an Albannaich on the morrow and ran to Glencoe YH for the night with failing lights. Had to call out the AA in the morning for a flat battery (faulty alternator).

with Richard, Dave and Joyce in late May or early June, 1981. Walk in from Linn of Dee, camp at the junction of Glen Dee and Glen Geusachan, first day up Devil's Point and Cairn Toul (did we do Braeriach too?), second day might have been Beinn Bhrotain.
