Francis was born on September 26, 1863, in Eastmuir, Shettleston, to Ellen Connelly (c1826 - 1896) and Patrick Reynolds (c1826 - 1882). [See Section RS-5-1 for family background.]
1871 Roseann (Rosina) McDermott was born at 4h0m a.m. on Sunday, January 8 at Bowhousebog [or Liquo], Shotts to Hugh McDermott, Coal Miner, and Helen McDermott m.s. Toner who married at Londonderry on August 24, 1868. Her birth was registered No.18 at Stane, Calderhead District on January 28 by Hugh McDermott, Father, Present.
1881 This looks like her family recorded in the 1881 Census for No.1 Hornshill in the vicinity of the village of Cleland. The household is listed as:

Hugh (2) born in 1900 at Windyedge, Cleland, last sighting 1901.
1889 On Friday, August 30, Francis and Rosina were married by Fr. John Hughes at the RC Chapel, Cleland after Banns according to the Forms of the R. C. Church. The marriage was registered No.17 at Cleland, West District of Shotts on September 2.
Francis was a Bachelor, gave his age as 23 (he was 4 weeks short of his 26th birthday), occupation as Coalminer and usual residence as 95 Omoa Square [the home of Patrick and Sarah in 1881 (but not in 1891, they had moved to 34 Omoa Square)]. His parents are recorded as Patrick Reynolds, Coalminer (deceased) and Helen Reynolds m.s. Connolly.
Rosina was a Spinster, gave her age as 17 (she was 18½ if I've found the right birth record), occupation Brickfield Worker and residence as Hornshill, Shotts Parish. Her parents are recorded as Hugh McDermott, Coalminer and Helen McDermott m.s. Toner.
The witnesses were Joseph Reynolds (Francis's brother) and Ellen McDermott (Rosina's sister) who married in 1890.
1890 Ellen was born at 11h30m a.m. on Friday, May 16 at 69 Omoa Square, Shotts Parish to Rosina Reynolds m.s. McDermott and Francis Reynolds, Coalminer who married on August 30, 1889 at Cleland. Her birth was registered No.50 at Cleland, West District of Shotts, on June 2 by Francis Reynolds, Father, Present.
1891 April 5 The family were living in a one-roomed house at 69 Omoa Square.

1893 Hugh was born at 0h30m p.m. on Thursday, June 15 at Cleland, Shotts Parish to Rosina Reynolds m.s. McDermott and Francis Reynolds, Coalminer who married on August 30, 1889 at Cleland, West District of Shotts. His birth was registered No.87 at Cleland, West District of Shotts, on July 4 by Francis Reynolds, Father.
1894 Hugh Reynolds, Single, died at 8h0m p.m. on Thursday, April 5, aged 10 months, at 6 Omoa Square, Shotts Parish of Bronchitis, 14 days, Whooping Cough, 14 days and Convulsions as certified by John Lithgow, MBCM. His parents are recorded as Francis Reynolds, Coal Miner and Rosina Reynolds m.s. McDermott. His death was registered No.16 at Cleland (West District of Shotts) on the following day by Francis Reynolds, Father, Present.
1895 William was born at 5h30m a.m. on Thursday, February 14 at 134 Omoa Square, Shotts Parish to Rosina Reynolds m.s. McDermott and Francis Reynolds, Coalminer who married on August 30, 1889 at Cleland, Shotts Parish. His birth was registered No.28 at Cleland on March 1 by Francis Reynolds, Father.
