Topiqon Support
Help with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Topiqon.
Getting started
- Open Topiqon and configure the services and ports you want to use.
- Create or select a topic for your messages.
- Review users and permissions before allowing clients to connect.
- Start the server and check its status from the app dashboard.
For detailed setup and API instructions, use the Documentation section inside Topiqon. The in-app documentation matches the version of the app you have installed.
Troubleshooting
The server does not start
- Check whether another application is already using the configured port.
- Confirm that at least one service is enabled.
- For HTTPS, verify that the selected certificate and private key are valid.
- Review the status and error information shown in Topiqon.
A client cannot connect
- Make sure Topiqon is running and the correct service is enabled.
- Confirm the host name, protocol, and port used by the client.
- Check macOS firewall and network settings.
- Verify the client's API credentials and topic permissions.
- When using TLS, confirm that the client trusts the server certificate.
Backups are not completing
- For iCloud, verify that you are signed in and iCloud Drive is available.
- For S3, check the endpoint, bucket, region, access key, and secret key.
- Confirm that your device has network access and the storage provider is available.
- Review the backup status displayed in the app for a specific error.
