EB74SC74 DUAL POSITIVE EDGE TRIGGERED D FLIP FLOP
A
"D" type flip flop has a Data input and a Clock input. Data is
transferred from the input to the outputs only when there is a
transition on the clock input; if the clock is held either high or low,
the outputs retain their previous state, regardless of what happens to
the data input.
The
flip flops in this chip are of the "positive edge triggered" type,
meaning that state changes occur on a low-to-high clock transition.
One
further embellishment is the provision of "set" and "reset" inputs
(active low in this case) that immediately change the state
independently of the clock and data inputs.
