EB74SC04 Hex Inverter

You've already seen how to build an inverter, so it's just a matter of putting six of them on one chip and connecting them to the appropriate pins.

You may notice that the arrangement of switches and LEDs has changed to match the requirements of the new chip. You can change them yourself too, by selecting the Configuration tool (screwdriver) and clicking on a device. You'll get a dialog where you can change the label on the pin and whether it's connected to a switch, LED, power terminal, or nothing (NC, No Connection).

There are two setups that you can switch between using a menu to the right of the toolbar. The "Lab" setup is for your own experimentation and can be changed as described above. The "Test" setup is fixed for each design task and can't be changed; it's the one that will be used for acceptance testing, which we'll come to on the next page.
