Dr Patel focuses on investing in early-stage UK life sciences firms and is responsible for sourcing and executing deals in early stage life sciences, healthcare and biotech companies.
Prior to joining Mercia, Ash was the Clinical Technology Director at Babylon Health where he helped to build a multi-award winning medical technology platform which secured Europe’s largest ever Series A investment in digital health ($25m).
Ash is also an Anaesthetics and Critical Care doctor, having trained at the Imperial School of Anaesthesia. He holds an MA in Medical Sciences and a BMBCh Medical Degree from the University of Oxford.
