Side Quest 2 is a to-do list app that hides items and activities that you can't currently do.
Side Quest 2 allows you to create sets of to-do lists based on geographical location. The idea of hiding items that are not relevant to your location is based on the stress-relieving concept of 'out of sight, out of mind'.2>
Hiding items that aren't relevant to your location means that you are never overwhelmed with a long list of things to do. Items are only ever shown if they are geographically relevant to where you are.
An example of this would be only viewing work-related reminders whilst at work, and being unable to see household chores whilst you are outside the house.
The simple act of not seeing the things you have no control over helps alleviate stress, and keeps you focussed on the things you have potential to take action on right now.
Side Quest 2 also features heavy customisation at it's core. Lists, colours, icons, background images, and size are all customisable for each list.
Side Quest 2 syncs across all of your devices using iCloud, meaning that you are never without your lists. When something gets done, you can simply tick it off on whichever device was closest, rather than looking around for a specific device.
With the update of iOS 13, and the introduction of iPadOS, Apple massively overhauled their long-forgotten Reminders app.
Side Quest 2 bought a bunch of new features, UI changes, and general improvements over iOS 12's relatively unchanged Reminders app.
However, many of it's features that made it stand out were adopted for iOS 13 and iPadOS' release.
Due to the new-found similarities between the applications, along with the unmatched integration of the system Reminders app into the operating system, Side Quest 2 was abandoned around two months before launch.
