Privacy Policy

This application is provided by Clydesdale Bank PLC. To operate this app, we will ask you for permission to access your location. If you agree, the app will communicate with the hardware on your device to obtain a latitude and longitude value for the device’s current position.

The latitude and longitude values are provided to Google and then instantly discarded by us. Google will then identify to the app the country within which those longitude and latitude values are located. No other information is provided to Google and Google cannot identify you. No personal data is shared with any third party.

If you don’t give permission then you can manually select currencies instead and the app will still function as expected.

We use a mobile App Performance Management platform that generates information about the technical and commercial performance of this app. This includes the date and time when app is first opened, session length, crash reports and a record of your movement within the app, the version of the app being used, your device manufacturer and model and operating system version.

We will retain information about your location for only a very short time and then it shall be securely deleted. We will retain information about how you use the application for 30 days. We have a legitimate interest in using this information in order to ensure that you can benefit fully from the functionality provided by the app and to allow us to understand how well it is operating.

Push notifications are helpful messages that pop up on your mobile device and may look like a text. For new customers, you have the option to opt into these during the onboarding process. For current app users you can opt in in the "what’s new" screens. If you opt in, push notifications will be sent to you to help you get the most out of your app. These may use your location if you've opted in to the location services but the app will not store this data. You can opt out at any time by going into the Settings on your phone.

Under certain circumstances, by law you have the right to request access to your personal data, to correct it, to erase it, to transfer it or to object to or seek to restrict what is done with it.
